Tuttosport: Derby breaks out for Milan winger as Torino and Juventus enquire

By Oliver Fisher -

The fate of Alexis Saelemaekers remains uncertain given that Bologna are now inclined towards letting him return to AC Milan, but there seems to be no shortage of suitors.

Saelemaekers struggled initially due to an injury problem but he quickly established himself as a very important part of Thiago Motta’s plans at Bologna. His departure for Juventus has changed the club’s plans though, while the Bianconeri have been linked with him.

As reported by Tuttosport (via Radio Rossonera), in addition to Juve their city rivals Torino have also asked for information about the Belgian. The Granata are likely to be led by Paolo Vanoli, who should replace Ivan Juric as the head coach.

The paper states that Saelemaekers ‘would be a tactically ideal reinforcement, usable both on the right and on the left side’. The chances that he could return to Milan and carve out a spot are currently close to zero: ‘He will be put back on the market, there’s no doubt about that’.

With the sale of the winger, Milan will make a decent capital gain that no doubt will be reinvested in the summer mercato albeit in other departments of the squad, with many targets on their list.

  1. Salad for Kean? Solves our back ST “problem”

Oh wait. Nope, he’s Italian and plays in serie a. Can’t do it.

  2. And why isn’t he playing?
Juventus between loan fee and transfer fee spent 40 mil to bring back, while they spent only 8 mil on Milik and Milik plays while Kaen watches the games like the rest of the fans in the stadium. And this with a coach that knows him and wanted him back in ’21.
    Trash.
If people are so obsessed with picking up garbage players just because they are Italians then just bring the mediocre players Milan has on loans, like Colombo or Daniel.

    1. Idk why isn’t he playing. I know he had some injuries this season. Last season he did 8 goals in 1439 minutes. That’s basically the same as jovic did this season..

Btw Milik didn’t play all that much either

    2. Daniel Maldini has 5 g/a in 192 minutes for Monza. Last season he scored against both teams in Milan, both inter and us, he clearly can develop into a solid player. Also, did you say that because of your hate for Paolo, our legend who you despise for no reason?

  3. I actually like sally as a right back because his work rate is off the charts. If we aren’t going to buy another right back then he’s just as good as Calabria in my opinion.
