Tuttosport: Donnarumma wants to stay but Milan have replacement lined up

By Isak Möller -

The Gigio Donnarumma saga continues. Although the youngster wants to stay at AC Milan and renew his contract with the club, a lot will depend on the demands of his agent Mino Raiola.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews.it), Milan will soon meet with the powerful agent to discuss the contract, which will expire in 2021. The meeting will also be closely followed by Torino, as highlighted by the newspaper.

The Rossoneri have lined up Salvatore Sirigu as Donnarumma’s replacement, meaning the outcome of the meeting will be decisive for both players. The 33-year-old has a contract until 2022 with Torino, but would most likely be able to free himself.

However, as mentioned, the Rossoneri don’t want to part ways with Donnarumma and he wants to stay. The main obstacle, of course, remains the salary as CEO Ivan Gazidis wants to impose a €2.5-3m wage cap at the club this summer.
