AC Milan will take on Sampdoria this evening and are in dire need of the win after losing against Spezia last time out. In fact, it’s the final chance for the Rossoneri to catch the Champions League train.
Milan are currently in fifth place, four points behind Lazio, and there are just three games left of the season. Dropped points today, and a win for the Biancocelesti, would thus put top four out of reach (Lazio have H2H advantage).
It’s very much the last train for Milan therefore, as highlighted by Tuttosport (via MilanNews) this morning, and with 70k fans in the stands the Rossoneri will have to fight from start to finish. A lacklustre attitude will not be tolerated.
Especially the attack will be under scrutiny, as Milan have struggled a lot to find the back of the net this season. Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud are the protagonists in that sense, and we all know what they are capable of.
