Tuttosport: Formation secondary as Pioli aims to regain stability at Milan

By Isak Möller -

Stefano Pioli fielded a 3-4-3 formation in AC Milan’s win against Torino and he’s likely to continue with that solution for the upcoming games. However, in the manager’s mind, the formation is secondary.

After seven games without a win, the Rossoneri finally bounced back and claimed three points as they beat Torino 1-0 at San Siro. After the 3-5-2 disaster in the derby, Pioli’s men looked a little better with the 3-4-3 formation.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), though, the formation is currently not the focus for the manager as he first and foremost wants to regain stability. And with that in place, individual brilliance and confidence will follow.

At the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter what formation Milan use if the players aren’t motivated enough. Hopefully, the Torino win is enough to secure a decent result in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 against Tottenham next week.
