Tuttosport: Futures of Ibrahimovic, Donnarumma and Romagnoli hang in the balance

By Oliver Fisher -

The crucial trio of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Alessio Romagnoli – all Mino Raiola clients – face an uncertain future at Milan.

That is according to Tuttosport (via MilanLive), who in their Tuesday edition try to take stock of the aforementioned three players and what the summer may hold for them.

Starting with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, his stay seemed obvious given his performances and the presence of Zvonimir Boban and Paolo Maldini, but the farewell of the former and the inevitable exit of the latter has thrown everything into question.

Nervousness is now filtering from the Swede, as we saw on the field on Sunday, but whoever is close to him on a daily basis assures him.

The fact the 38-year-old has been rocked by the management situation, and while before the parties were ready to lay the foundations for a contract renewal for the 2020-21 season, now everything has changed – especially given that the allegedly incoming head coach Ralf Rangnick prefers to focus on youth.

Gianluigi Donnarumma’s future is already hanging in the balance, and the chaos in the media at present is hardly going to provide him with the motivation to stay and fight for the cause, especially given his contract situation and the unlikelihood of getting a pay rise.

Attention must also be also to captain Alessio Romagnoli. He too is represented by Mino Raiola, who has already shown his total perplexity on the Elliott project. His trio, therefore, could really be in the balance in the case of another revolution and one based around young players.
