Tuttosport: Galliani wants to disrupt Milan’s plans and bring Ibrahimovic to Monza

By Oliver Fisher -

Former AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani is hoping to sting his former club by swooping to bring Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Monza in the summer, a report claims.

There are still plenty of doubts surrounding Ibrahimovic’s future at Milan, with SportMediaset reporting on Saturday that the upheaval at management level has essentially made the Swede’s mind up for him and he will leave at the end of the season.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanLive), Adriano Galliani is preparing a new assault to try and Ibrahimovic, a player who he had telephone talks with in December about joining the Serie C side but the striker had already given his word to Maldini and Boban.

Galliani will try to leverage the excellent relationships he has always had with Ibrahimovic, having signed him on loan for Milan from Barcelona back 2010 before negotiating his permanent transfer a year later.

Even Christian Brocchi, current coach of Monza and former interim boss of Milan, seems to believe there is a chance: ” In the minds of the Monza fans there is only one wrong think to think: that this is not possible.”

Anything can happen therefore, even if Milan are hoping that the 38-year-old signs for one more year.
