Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Gianluigi Donnarumma are moving towards extending their stay with AC Milan, according to a report.
As Tuesday’s edition of Tuttosport notes (via MilanNews), everything has change at Milan off the back of the decision to renew Stefano Pioli’s contract rather than go down the Ralf Rangnick route.
Ibrahimovic, who seemed destined to return to Sweden, is now increasingly likely to remain with the Rossoneri into next season. Obviously, it will be necessary to negotiate to reach an agreement both economically and in terms of his role in 2020-21, and bonuses seem to be the only way to get as close as possible to the figure requested by the Swede.
He also expects a leading role on the field, with Pioli ready to satisfy that, and Raiola is hoping that he can hold the power as he also controls the future of Donnarumma.
Regarding the extension of Gigio, there are some knots to be resolved: in addition to the salary issue (he could accept the current figure of €6million net per year), it will be necessary to discuss the duration of the deal and a possible release clause.
