Tuttosport: Inter not worried that Milan are back in €35m Tonali race – the reason why

Inter are not worried despite the fact that AC Milan have entered the race to land Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali, according to a report.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Monday that the Rossoneri management have been working for months to strengthen the midfield department with the team in desperate need of an alternative to the excellent Kessie-Bennacer pairing.

They added that Tonali is the number one target, as every single member of the management are in agreement – including Maldini, Massara, Pioli and even the ownership – regarding the €30m deal.

However, Tuttosport (via MilanNews) are reporting that Inter remain in pole position to land Tonali in the upcoming transfer window, and the paper even goes so far as to state that the inclusion of Milan does not worry the Nerazzurri.

This is because they already have the player’s approval and a general agreement with the president of Brescia – Massimo Cellino – on the basis of a deal for around €35million when factoring in fixed amounts and bonuses.
