Tuttosport: Jovic appears very motivated – he has a desire for revenge

By Oliver Fisher -

Luka Jovic has not been an AC Milan player for long but the signs so far have been very positive as he seems fired up and ready to prove a point, a report claims.

Going into transfer deadline day it seemed like Milan might be disappointed in their search for a striker as deals for Mehdi Taremi, Patson Daka and Rafa Mir all fell by the wayside for various reasons.

However, with less than a couple of hours left in the transfer window Milan announced that they had signed Jovic on a free transfer from Fiorentina in what is an initial one-year deal.

According to this morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the Serbian is very motivated and has joined the Rossoneri eager to take sporting and personal revenge after a difficult last season.

Despite it being a tough campaign and La Viola actively trying to offload him as a result, he still scored 13 goals and made 50 appearances across all competitions.

  1. Yes, because perhaps it might be the last chance for him to re-establish his career. It will be so stupid if he ruins this opportunity. If that’s the case, his next destination might be low-table clubs. But surely I hope he will do well (and behave well, as well) in Milan.

So what signs exactly? He hasn’t even had one training session and they are talking about motivation.

    1. You think our players havent trained since the match 3 days ago….?

You think this club is some sort of joke?

Also dont understand why you are immediately negative, just wait and see

  3. 13 free goals is a good currency but I bet he started more often than he likely will here. So he needs to make most of his chances.

  4. Last chance for a player of 25 yrs? To be honest, if jovic will gain back his form, he will be way better than taremi. I just only hope pioli will give him minutes to prove himself.. why we allways bet on old strikers?

    1. And that bet return us to top teams of Serie A, with 3 consecutive top 4, 1 scudetto and 1 semifinal CL appearance.

That’s not a bad result I’d say, especially after torrid 6-7 seasons since 2012.

Oh, are you new Milan fans? If you are, try to check our wonderful era from 2012-2019. You will be soo grateful towards our old striker, and Pioli then.

  5. I wasn’t sure about this signing but when I look at his career he has had a difficult time.

He was never going to play ahead of Benzema at Real Madrid and when ever he was given the opportunity at Eintracht Frankfurt he did well even in his 2nd spell.

At Fiorentina he didn’t get much chances to start and a lot of his chances were substitute roles with not much minutes in the game to impose himself.

At Milan he will have more opportunities to start games due to Giroud’s age and the amount games Milan will play this season.

I think this might turn out well for Milan and Jovic especially given that he didn’t cost us a penny to sign him from Fiorentina and he’s still only 25yrs old.

  6. In my candid experience on recent low key signings Milan ventures into thus turn into steal of the season

Jovic is ambidextrous kind of player, ball joggler, good with the head, understands team play(one two movements).

Let’s keep our fingers crossed and pray for him

Oli Giroud is making it at Milan because of the system he finds himself now,so will Jovic
