Tuttosport: Milan players ratings from Juventus draw – pair stand out but trio struggle

By Oliver Fisher -

Ante Rebic and Mike Maignan were the stand out pair for AC Milan during their draw against Juventus last night, according to Tuttosport.

The Rossoneri’s perfect start to the Serie A season came to an end as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Juventus, with Ante Rebic’s header 14 minutes from time cancelling out Alvaro Morata’s fourth-minute opener.

Today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) has their player ratings for the game at the Allianz Stadium with Rebic and Maignan emerging with scores of 7 out of 10. The former put a lot into the game and scored the equalising goal, while the latter was always attentive and did well to thwart Morata and Dybala.

Fikayo Tomori, Pierre Kalulu and Sandro Tonali deserved a 6.5 as per the paper, while Simon Kjaer, Alessio Romagnoli, Ismael Bennacer and Brahim Diaz got a 6. Half a point less was awarded to Kessie and Florenzi while finally Theo Hernandez, Saelemaekers and Leao were disappointing, receiving a 5.

    1. Tonali has already taken Kessie’s place, now Pioli needs to start pairing Tonali and Bennacer and need to start benching Kessie as Milan shouldn’t build the play around the player who is about to leave. Kessie has chosen his fate, so be it. Let’s honour his decision and drop him to bench and start excluding him from big matches.
