Tuttosport: Milan and Leao determined to make €30m investment work – Wolves offer could change things

By Oliver Fisher -

On the day of AC Milan’s second summer friendly against Modena, Rafael Leao is ready for another chance to show what he can do amid uncertainty over his future.

As Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes, the winger – who cost Milan around €30m when he signed from Lille – is working desire and determination at Milanello to regain a spot in the starting XI and, above all, to win back the confidence of the fans. However, the transfer market could call him back at any moment, given that there is interest in the Premier League.

Leao wants to stay at Milan and succeed, that is his number one priority, while the Milan management know the potential of the Portuguese forward and that at any moment he could explode, which is why his sale is not a priority.

A good offer could change everything though as the paper reports that bids of more than €25-30m will be taken into consideration – a more than affordable amount for Premier League teams given their revenue.

Leao’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is in talks with Wolverhampton over a potential move given their strong Portuguese links, but for now there is no official bid and Leao must therefore focus on the field.
