Tuttosport: Milan could bring back €15m midfielder as several factors attract

AC Milan are aiming to reinforce their squad ahead of the 2022/23 season and Paolo Maldini has several names in mind. Bryan Cristante, the former Rossoneri man, has emerged as a potential target.

Cristante came through the youth ranks at Milan and only made a few appearances for the first team before he was sold to Benfica. After making his way back to Italy and eventually Roma, the midfielder could return to the Rossoneri.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the 27-year-old could leave Roma this summer and Milan are interested, as well as Juventus. The Rossoneri will lose Franck Kessie for free and Cristante could be an option to replace him.

As was highlighted by Calciomercato.com previously, several factors attract in this case: he Cristante has a price tag of €15, he came through the youth ranks at Milan and would thus be good for the squad list, plus he’s still quite young.

  1. Seeing Cristante return, also indicates that former players can return if they are pursued after. ie: Locatelli, Cutrone.

    1. Why Cutrone? He can’t score. Locatelli asked to be sold and then pushed to go to Juventus. He’s not coming back.
