Tuttosport: Milan could pounce on Kabak as Schalke have lowered price tag

By Isak Möller -

It’s not exactly a secrete that Milan are looking for a centre-back this transfer window, having been linked with Mohamed Simakan and Ozan Kabak. The former remains the first choice, but that doesn’t mean he will arrive.

As reported by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri have offered Strasbourg €15m plus €3m in bonuses for the defender. Leipzig are also interested and have matched the bid, also willing to leave the player on loan until the end of the season.

Simakan has already agreed on personal terms with Milan and it remains to be seen if the Frenchman will arrive. Should the negotiations with Strasbourg break down, then Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have a plan B ready.

They have kept contacts alive with Ozan Kabak’s entourage, per the newspaper. The Turkish defender is open to the move and it seems Schalke have lowered the initial price tag. The next few days will be interesting to follow, that’s for sure.
