Tuttosport: Milan have noticed midfielder’s continuous development – his stay now likely

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have done a U-turn on their previous intentions for Tommaso Pobega and now seem likely to keep him, according to a report.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) confirms that reflections are underway regarding the future of Pobega, a product of the Primavera who is very much in demand after his excellent loan spell at Spezia, with some Italian clubs showing an interest in signing him

It is perhaps a demonstration too that the loan strategy has worked for Milan as 22-year-old midfielder went to Ternana (Serie C) at first, then Pordenone (Serie B) and then racked up 20 matches and 6 goals last season with Spezia in Serie A.

Now Pobega is back at Milanello and he hopes to stay there, while the first summer friendly against Pro Sesto certainly didn’t do his chances any harm with 2 assists and an own-goal that he basically forced. Pobega’s growth has been continuous and linear and Milan have noticed, so his chances of staying have increased a lot.
