Tuttosport: Milan have two alternatives lined up for centre-back position

By Isak Möller -

Although Simon Kjaer has done well since his arrival in January, partnering up with Alessio Romagnoli, Milan are looking for a centre-back on the market. Of course, the signing will be a more long-term solution.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews.it), Nikola Milenkovic is at the top of the Rossoneri’s transfer wish list. However, the Fiorentina star – who has a hefty price tag – isn’t the only profile on the radar for the defensive department.

Milan are also monitoring the situation of Kristoffer Ajer and Wesley Fofana. The former, who plays for Celtic, would cost around €35m while the young Saint-Etienne man could be bought for less. They are the alternatives, in other words.

In the coming weeks, we should know more about the situation. The Rossoneri’s season will start with the Europa League qualifiers, the second round of which will take place just a few days before the start of the league.
