AC Milan continue their hunt for reinforcements to strengthen the squad at Stefano Pioli’s disposal and the current focus seems to be set on the midfield department, with Tiemoue Bakayoko being the main target. However, due to difficulty in talks, the Rossoneri are also considering two alternatives.
With the Bakayoko deal in stand-by, as we informed you this morning, Milan are forced to also look at other options to improve their midfield. And the hottest names are those of Boubakary Soumare and Florentino Luis.
According to Tuttosport (via milanlive.it), contacts have already started for the Lille midfielder.
Considering the fact that the French club has financial ties to Elliott and relations are excellent, as shown during the deals involving Rafael Leao and Tiago Djalo last year, a potential deal is not impossible. However, an offer of at least 30 million euros will be necessary, even though the salary of the player is lower than that of Bakayoko.
Florentino Luis could be easier to reach. Maldini is in contact with the player’s agent and Benfica want 25-30 million euros for the midfielder. Fulham are also interested in the youngster, but their offer of a loan with an option to buy was refused.
