Tuttosport: Milan interested in Italy U21 striker as planning for next season begins

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are interested in signing striker Gianluca Scamacca in the summer transfer window, according to a report.

It was first reported by seriebnews.com that Milan’s chief scout Geoffrey Moncada likes the look of Scamacca, who has 10 goals this season in all competitions on loan at Serie B side Ascoli.

Roma have also been linked with the young forward, but Radio Rossonera’s Pietro Balzano Prota stated on deadline that Milan held talks with the player’s entourage on Thursday with the view to a summer move, after the excellent reports received by club scouts.

According to the latest from Tuttosport – as cited by Calciomercato.com – Milan are already starting to think about how to plan for the 2020-21 season, and Elliott plan to continue their policy of continuing to invest in talented young prospects.

With six league goals scored in 15 league games Scamacca fits that bill, plus four goals in eight games with the Italy U21 national team. His contract with Sassuolo expires in June 2023.
