Tuttosport: Milan looking to reinforce two more departments after Hauge swoop – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

After having completed the signing of Jens Petter Hauge from Bodo/Glimt, who will arrive for medicals shortly, the management are working to complete the market.

According to Tuesday’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Paolo Maldini and co. will now focus on their pursuit of a central defender, the real priority of the market. Wesley Fofana is the dream target, while Matija Nastasic is the last minute opportunity, but there could still be surprises.

Bologna’s Takehiro Tomiyasu has emerged as an idea, and the Rossoblu’s sporting director Riccardo Bigon did not explicitly mention Milan’s interest in the Japanese, but did not remove him from the market when interviewed on Monday night.

“We would not want to proceed with sales, but it is clear that if sensational offers arrived, we would be forced to evaluate them,” he said.

Tiemoue Bakayoko also remains a target for Milan between now and the end of the window as Milan are refusing to give up. However, there are difficulties regarding the option to buy figure on the paid loan deal.
