Tuttosport: Milan never had to worry about Man City or PSG – Theo’s will was clear

By Isak Möller -

Yesterday afternoon, AC Milan announced the renewal of Theo Hernandez until 2026, much to the relief of the fans. The negotiations were never at risk of breaking down, though, despite the interest of some big clubs.

The French left-back has bagged four goals and eight assists for the Rossoneri this season and it’s clear just how important he is for the team. Being able to renew his contract is thus an important signal from Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the negotiation was rather simple as both parties always were on the same wavelength: to continue together. Milan, therefore, never had to worry about the interest of Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain.

Hernandez is currently serving a one-game ban and will miss out on tomorrow’s clash against Sampdoria, as a result of the late red card he got vs. Inter. He has played all seven games this year from start to finish, so he could use the rest.
