Tuttosport: Milan to set new record with ticket sales against Napoli – the figures

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan set a new box office record in Italy with the game against Tottenham in the Round of 16. Having made it through to the quarters, taking on Napoli, they are expected to set a new record.

The interest has been extremely high, as you would expect, and that was showcased on the first day of the sale. In the first three hours (only open to season-ticket holders), Milan sold a whopping 14k tickets for the game.

Today at 12:00 CET, the Cuore Rossonero phase will begin and it remains to be seen if there will be any tickets left for the general sale. One thing’s for sure, only the expensive tickets will be left if the general sale is opened.

As reported by Tuttosport (via SempreMilan.it), Milan set a new record against Tottenham as they got over €9m in revenue but for this clash, they should get over €10m. In other words, a new record, made possible by the high prices that can more or less be justified for such a big game.
