Tuttosport: Milan add OGC Nice star to list of summer targets – the latest

By Ben Dixon -

Ahead of the upcoming mercato, AC Milan are expected to heavily invest in their first team, with several positions needing some reinvigoration.

It cannot be stressed enough how important this summer will be for Milan. Not only are they facing a managerial change, but several senior players are leaving, meaning the Rossoneri need to ensure that they replace the departing with quality.

There has already been backlash from the fans about managerial prospects, and this morning, the Curva Sud stressed the importance of replicating last summer’s mercato successes, which signifies the pressure on the Diavolo’s management to get this window spot on.

With Simon Kjaer leaving and Pierre Kalulu’s future uncertain, the Rossoneri must invest in a new central defender to ensure that they do not replicate the injury stresses of this season, and Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) have reported that Geoffrey Moncada is looking to France for options once again.

Milan have been heavily linked with Alessandro Buongiorno, but with his price rising, it is possible that the club will look elsewhere, and the reported name is OGC Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo. The 24-year-old is a commanding central defender who has consistently impressed in Ligue 1.

Given the Diavolo have been interested in the Frenchman for more than four years, there is a lot known about his qualities, and he could be the one chosen to update the defence.
