Tuttosport: A shot at making history – Milan Primavera prepare for Youth League final

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan Primavera have a shot at history tonight as they take on Olympiacos in the final of the UEFA Youth League in Nyon this evening.

As Tuttosport (via MilanNews) write this morning, the victory in the semi-final on penalties against Porto means that Milan’s youth side can become the first ever Italian club to win the Youth League.

Milan will take to the field with a white kit on, as in the great European victories of the Silvio Berlusconi era. Yesterday morning, Abate’s team carried out their final training session from which no news whatsoever emerged.

Therefore tonight we should see the same starting line-up seen against Porto in the semi-final on the pitch from the start: Raveyre; Magni, Simic, Nsiala, Bartesaghi; Zeroli, Malaspina, Stalmach; Scotti, Camarda, Sia.

For this match, Abate will rely above all on players who have greater experience and personality. Among these there are certainly Jan-Carlo Simic , who has already made his debut and scored in the first team, and Kevin Zeroli , captain of the Primavera who transformed all three decisive penalties against Braga, Real Madrid and Porto.

There are obviously also great expectations on Francesco Camarda, who will lead the Rossoneri attack together with Sia and Scotti, the latter scoring on Friday in the semi-final against the Portuguese side.

  1. This game is of more importance than the derby.

What an achievement it would be to win.

Either way, Abate and the young guys have done the club proud!
