Tuttosport: Milan prioritise signing of €35m defender linked with PSG and Man Utd

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have made Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic their number one defensive target ahead of the upcoming window, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com recently reported that Milan have not given up on Milenkovic, and that the Serbia international is one of the main objectives as the club look for depth in defence.

They added that Fiorentina owner Rocco Commisso wants to recoup €35million if he has to sell the 22-year-old, with talks between the Milanese leadership and the agent of the defender ongoing.

The same outlet added on Thursday that Milan have been joined by Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid and Manchester United in the race to land Milenkovic.

According to Friday’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milenkovic is in fact Milan’s number one goal to reinforce the rearguard ahead of next season, both for Pioli and for the management.

He is seen as the ideal long-term partner to Alessio Romagnoli, despite the signing of Simon Kjaer from Sevilla on a permanent deal a couple of weeks ago.
