Tuttosport: Milan’s pursuit of Bologna midfielder is not dependant on Krunic

By Isak Möller -

Nicolas Dominguez’s contract with Bologna will expire in one year and he has been linked with a move to AC Milan in the last few weeks. The Rossoneri’s interest doesn’t depend on the future of Rade Krunic, a report claims.

Dominguez has been named as the prime candidate to replace Krunic in the event of a move to Fenerbahce. However, with the latter now looking unlikely, many have been wondering if Milan will drop their pursuit of the Bologna man.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan’s pursuit of Dominguez doesn’t depend on Krunic and the Argentine could arrive anyway. The Rossoneri are following the situation closely and it remains to be seen if they will make a move.

After the game against Monza last night, Stefano Pioli described the midfield department as ‘complete’ given the recent arrival of Yunus Musah. The management might have other ideas, though, but it will depend on the outgoing market.

    1. Totally agree.
If we don’t sell him now, it’s gonna be even harder to sell him in the future.
And for so many seasons now, milan always struggle to sell their players

    2. At this point, I’d rather management just sign Dominguez and bring him into the squad immediately. That way it will be easier to push Krunic out.

      1. If we dont get him out then Pioli will just bench Dominguez
Then again, Pioli will still find a way to bench Dominguez even if we sell Krunic by playing Pobega in that spot instead

        Mark my words
This motherf*cker Pioli is a saboteur

  1. Pioli always say he has complete and best team and don’t need better player. But as a matter of fact on the field everything has changed. .

  2. Just sell adili to fund dominques transfer fee. We dont need adili anymore , it is better sell him than krunic . I dont mind krunic play until his contract expire ,he is useful & versatile , selling him only get 5-7m euro ,not worth to find another depth player. It is not like fenerbahce will pay 10m euro for krunic , not a chance

  3. Bring Dominguez anyways. Just sign him. He doesn’t want to leave Italy. Ask yourself why no Turkish team has succeeded?

We need to push Krunic to the bench where he can’t mess up plays. Let’s bring a proper DM. This way Maldini’s Heir can also cry.

    1. What’s amazing to me is anyone who wants to keep Krunic.

The guy is responsible for a lot of goals against because he constantly gives the ball away in Milan’s third of the pitch. At least once a game a genuine scoring chance or break is directly related to him losing the ball in our own 18 yard box or very close to it.

      1. Yet somehow people always defend him.
        He’s a liability.
To be fair, he wasn’t originally a DM, he was forced into that position.
But even in other positions he never show quality, only some decent performance here and there for once in a while.

  4. “After the game against Monza last night, Stefano Pioli described the midfield department as ‘complete’ given the recent arrival of Yunus Musah. The management might have other ideas, though, but it will depend on the outgoing market.”

Is the article suggesting that Pioli and management have different ideas and are not really aligned?

  5. Honestly I don’t think we need another midfielder. I think at this point a CB is more needed than a MF. I believe Musah can slot in nicely in Krunic role if only Pioli would do that. Even if one midfielder leaves, I don’t think we seriously need another. But should two leave, let’s say Krunic and Adli, who atm are the most likely then yes.

With the final bits of the mercato left to be defined, I would genuinely love to see the remaining space for some AC Milan (primavera) and Italian representation. We needed a LB, for instance, we had Bozzolan. And Jungdal is on his way to Cremonese FOR FREE. For all the talk of investing into the Milan youth sides, let’s see some results. There are some good primavera players, who can be thrown into rotation; Coubis, Bartesaghi, Simic, Zeroli, Chaka etc. It’s an all win situation.

I’m not Italian, but here I am a fan of an Italian club. I appreciate diversity of Nationality, with an eye on quality, but some Italian representation is needed for identity. With that same eye, look at some quality Italian targets. Torino were willing to let Ricci go to Lazio for 25mil. That’s our budget per player this mercato. Keep Colombo or get an Italian replacement if you let him go. Finish off an excellent mercato with some Italians would you.

      1. First thing one notices is his quickness compared to his size(height). He’s designated LB , but I believe he can develop into a LCB. Impressed so far in the preseason, I would like to see more of him. Lots of promise and room to grow. I had this theory of Hope Milan don’t find a way to mess his future up like the many others

    1. LOL

If your tactic with 2 wing-back then you need a REGISTA for cover the zone n helping the def.

Milan dont have a proper DM.

Last season when Kessie left 49 conceded.
