Tuttosport: Milan player ratings for Sassuolo loss – entire defence on trial

By Oliver Fisher -

The criticism keeps pouring in after AC Milan suffered a 5-2 defeat against Sassuolo at San Siro yesterday afternoon to make it six games without a win.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) has their ratings for the game starting with head coach Stefano Pioli who received a 4 out of 10 of his management of yet another game that got away from his side fast.

The entire defensive line also struggles from Tatarusanu (4.5) to Calabria (4) and Theo Hernandez (4), also including Gabbia (4) and Kalulu (5), who was the only one who did not really disgrace himself.

Krunic (4.5), Tonali (4.5) and the substitute Pobega (5) struggled to establish any kind of presence in midfield during the tough moments, while Saelemaekers (4.5) and Rebic (5) were wasteful in attack.

The jury is out on De Ketelaere (5.5), while Olivier Giroud scored but it was not enough to rescue a performance worthy of the same as the Belgian. Divock Origi on the other hand did well, scoring a goal that was as beautiful as it was useless.

      1. Maybe that’s exactly who is needed for this Sunday. Pioli won’t suffice. Not that I think “The Overrated One” is any better than Pioli though. But at least it would be different.
