Tuttosport: Milan ready to reward star duo with pay rise as renewal talks begin – the details

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are looking to resolve the long-term futures of Davide Calabria and Franck Kessie by rewarding both with a new deal, a report claims.

Although focus is on the pitch and the start to the season as well as the transfer market, the directors are also starting work on several renewals to avoid another Donnarumma-esque situation.

The issues experienced with Gigio Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu have forced the Rossoneri to act on other fronts as well. They don’t want to negotiate renewals with just a few months as deadline.

According to the latest from Tuttosport (via MilanLive), there are good feelings about the contract extensions of Calabria and Kessie. Discussions are underway regarding the renewal of both, with a pay rise expected to reward them for their recent form.

The full-back’s current salary is €2million net per season , while the former Atalanta midfielder receives €2.2m.
