Tuttosport: Milan standing firm after €3m offer for striker – the two factors working in their favour

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are working to bring striker Kaio Jorge to the club with the negotiation well underway, according to a report.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews) reports that Milan are constantly pressing to try and secure the signature of the 19-year-old Brazilian talent, but Santos are holding out trying to cash in as much as possible.

The imminent expiration of his contract (December 2021) puts them in a position of weakness, which is why Milan want to close the acquisition of Kaio Jorge in the current window, but obviously do not intend to spend too much.

Directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have offered €3m for the teenager which is half of what the Brazilian side have asked for. Milan are relying on the player’s contract situation and the fact that he would be delighted to move to the Rossoneri. The management are also convinced that Jorge can mature and settle better in Italian football by arriving immediately.
