Tuttosport: Milan studying building their own stadium due to Inter’s financial uncertainty

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s owners Elliott Management fully intend to build a new stadium with or without their neighbours Inter, according to a report.

Today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanLive) writes how the stadium project is now blocked due to the uncertainties regarding the corporate situation of Inter. Mayor Giuseppe Sala has asked for clarity on the future of the Nerazzurri and was criticised by them in the process, creating tension between the parties.

Milan have been studying an alternative plan for months to allow the construction of a new stadium with or without Inter and while the priority always remains building a structure in the San Siro area and sharing the facility with the Nerazzurri, the situation will have to be unlocked in the coming weeks because Elliott are determined.

There are some supporters and no doubt some club officials who would like Milan and Inter to separate after so many years in the same stadium in order to have their own home, like Juventus did, but it seems at the moment a lot depends on Inter and the Council, otherwise Milan will spring into action.
