Tuttosport: Milan have three alternatives in case of De Ketelaere failure

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are aiming to close the signing of Charles De Ketelaere from Club Brugge this week. However, even though a hefty offer is ready, the Rossoneri might not get it over the line and thus have a few alternatives.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are aware that time is running out on the mercato. The season will start in less than a month and Stefano Pioli would to have the reinforcements ready as soon as possible.

Therefore, the directors will make it clear to Club Brugge that their new offer (€35m including bonuses) will also be the final one. As reported by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), should they fail to sign De Ketelaere, then they have three alternatives.

Hakim Ziyech has never vanished from the radar and could perhaps be the primary target for the Rossoneri, while Nicolo Zaniolo also remains an option. The third, which is a bit of an outsider, is PSV Eindhoven’s Cody Gakpo as the Rossoneri management likes him.

  1. I know they are going fail just useles update everyday just sign Dybala and Ziyech we better and quality is raise don’t even understand M&M Feed up with this management shit people

    1. Dybala with 5m or 6m wage total 20m+commision might be lower than whole cdk signing. But no immense rising fee should they want to resale the player. And dybala still one the best cam in serie a and ucl at most.

  2. why this kind of report, if they don’t sign CDK non of these players is cheaper, to miss him for a few millions as the main target and sign Zanolo for more than 50 mil if he doesn’t renew with Roma. M&M just gives those few millions missing for CDK before some other club joins the race. because then Milan won’t be his preferred destination instead of Leeds.

  3. Adli will be better than CDK in the AMF role, I don’t know why the management is so keen making journalists write fake articles

  4. Brugge will call out Milan bluff. As other comments alluded to, Milan are not going to save 2 million here to spend 4mil there. I expect latest offer to be rejected and Milan to get it over the line on next offer.

  5. I don’t even know why we are signing this CDK guy, when both Diaz and Adli is there.

This guy is not worth more than nao lang in the club brugge team, thisbCDK guy is over hyped, he is worth only 25m.

That 35m can get us good proper RW, which where we are lacking at the moment.

  6. It iit s not the issue if this player is worth or not (we cant say that, even top players are flops in new teams).
But the problem with this management is that they negotiate for months for a few million and then when other teams join the race the price goes up and Milan end up empty handed.

There is always going to be competition for players, if there is no big difference in the valuation of the player from the other side then sped up and buy the player. Look at other teams and how fast they finish negotiations, Levandowski, De Light, Dibala, Jesus, Sterling, Kolibaly, Nunez, Haaland… if Milan try to sign top players negotiations won’t be over until his retirement. The clubs dont care if Mialn has agreed terms with the players, they care for the fee they will recive, and they know that some English club, Real, Barca, PSZ or Bayern will knock at their doors..

  7. Useless owner with fake brain, they should’ve sign Paolo Dybala overall for free despite that commission and everything it can’t exceed €30M, then they should go and sign Ziyech.

  8. Forget about him, he is just youtube and game sensation. I’d go for Dybala who was proven in serie a (including in Palermo), has good experience in UCL, and in his prime age. For those who think that Dybala is in decline, clearly you rate player based on video games bullsh*t.

  9. Inter- Bellanova, Asllani, Mkhitaryan, Lukaku, Onana
    Juve- Pogba, Di Maria, Cambiaso
    Roma-Dybala, Celik, Matic, Svilar
    Napoli- Ostigard, Olivera, Kvaratskheila
    Ac Milan- Origi…
Anything above a position 4 finish next season will be a miracle

  10. Honestly , I prefer Dybala any day….he can make us go far in champion league….we can use this money to hey Dybala and Noa lang or even ziyech….When we win the league or go far in champion league then , we can scout for your players again..I know this management are so crazy about young players but to me, it doesn’t make sense if they are overpriced.

  11. What the hell is RedBird doing???? Where’s our 100 million transfer budget? Why buy a club and then restrict spending? Why cap salary at 4.5 million? Unless you want to make a profit at the end when you sell the club……

  12. Is shame
    Collect garbage around
Shame. If I was Maldini. I will F quite
Low lime management togather with GAzidis another low life

  13. Dybala this, dybala that. All of you dont read news? Dybala done deal to AS Roma. Stop mention that dybala anymore. CDK are AC Milan primary target,i am sure AC Milan will get CDK this week. Probably after CDK they will sign japhet for CB and one more DMF

    1. Exactly. Dybala is so good that no UCL side could afford him! All these fans just complain ceaselessly as if they brought money for the club to spend. The management will do right, I believe.

That’s how they complained that Milan should have signed Faivre. Well, without him Milan won scudetto – and where’s Faivre now?

  14. Reccaman is right…

In addition to being excruciatingly boring and repetitive, the ‘doom & gloom’ pack now seems to have also regressed to an illiteracy condition: Paul Dybala ALREADY signed with Roma, you bunch of morons…
