Tuttosport: Milan want to make big statement with three signings – Chelsea outcast the closest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are trying to complete three signings with a deal for Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko the closest to being done, a report claims.

According to Saturday’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan are working to reinforce the midfield by signing Sandro Tonali from Brescia and Brahim Diaz from Real Madrid, but Bakayoko is the closest to wearing the Rossoneri shirt at present.

Milan are looking to make a statement regarding their ambitions for a return to the Champions League by signing the trio, and the possible arrival of Tonali does not exclude that of Bakayoko, who Milan have been negotiating with for weeks.

The paper claims that re-signing the Frenchman is a priority for Maldini and Massara, who aim to heavily reinforce the midfield department. The operation with Chelsea is well underway and there is optimism about the success of the deal and the closing times, which could be the beginning of next week.

The clubs have agreed on a loan with option to buy but have not yet reached an agreement on the amount on the option. Chelsea would like €30million, Milan would like it to be lower, but the deal will get done.
