Tuttosport: Movement expected regarding renewal of star Milan trio – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan face a difficult situation regarding the renewals of two of their key players who are on contracts which expire in June 2021, a report claims.

As reported by Tuttosport (via MilanLive), the Rossoneri management could sit around a table with Mino Raiola to discuss the contracts of Gianluigi Donnarumma and also Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The goal is to move forward with the duo, and for Donnarumma a signature could arrive until 2024 at around the €7-7.5m per season net.

The one obstacle at the moment regarding a new deal for the 21-year-old is related to a release clause that would become active in case Milan fail to quality for the Champions League. Raiola would like that clause to be no more than €35million, while Milan are not willing to go below €50m, but Gigio’s will is to stay and that could be decisive.

Hakan Calhanoglu’s renewal meanwhile appears to be more complicated. He would like to stay in Milan, but the agent is asking for at least €6m net per season for his player, a big increase from the current €2.5m he earns and too high a demand for the management.
