It would be fair to say that Divock Origi has not shown the best version of himself so far in his appearances off the bench since joining AC Milan.
However, Tuttosport (via MilanNews) report that Olivier Giroud needs to rest after starting several games in a row and perhaps showing his fatigue in Tuesday night’s draw with Red Bull Salzburg and that is why Origi is gearing up for his first start.
After a rather complicated summer tormented by a muscle problem, the Belgian now needs to play from the first minute to aid the process of getting back to 100% condition soon as possible.
In the last few matches he has played several fragments of games, showing some good things, but we know that for a striker the best medicine is a goal and he will want to get off the mark at the Marassi.
Origi is a very mobile player who will give Stefano Pioli more coverage than Giroud and Origi is excited and eager to show his worth after Milan made such an effort to sign him. The important thing is that he doesn’t try to overdo it, but tomorrow will be an interesting first start.
My problem with this dude is that he is too in a hurry and that affects his decision making, playing selfish and always think he is alone on the pitch…..just hope he is calmer now cos we need everyone to be at their best, too many matches to play
