Tuttosport: Origi will miss Milan’s first pre-season training – when he will arrive

By Isak Möller -

Divock Origi is just an official announcement away from becoming an AC Milan player. He underwent his medical yesterday and he also signed the contract. In other words, he’s ready to begin his new adventure.

The Belgian striker arrives on a free transfer from Liverpool as the latter were unable to exercise their one-year extension clause due to a lack of playing time. Milan swooped in early and have had an agreement with the player for quite some time.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Origi will not be at Milanello for Milan’s first training session of the pre-season. He will arrive one day late and thus start training with his new team on July 5th.

In any case, he’s ready and eager to start his adventure with Milan. He will compete with Olivier Giroud initially and then potentially also Zlatan Ibrahimovic, depending on the latter’s knee recovery. He’s up for the challenge, though.

  1. At the present time nothing seems to be going right for the Rosso Neri

Maldini has not signed and Origi will not be at training on the 4th
Botman to Newcastle, and they will for sure miss out on the No. 10 from Club Brugge as well
I believe Fabio Capello was right Maldini and Massara are too slow in making important signings for Pioli and ACM

    1. It’s when the club owner releases fans they would be able to bring in a player…… 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️ you think they wanted this thing to drag….. for players they’ve been pursuing all season long???

    2. So you think Origi arriving ONE DAY LATER makes a difference? How about the others playing for their countries and given longer vacations? It’s just how it goes. Always has, always will.
