Tuttosport: Origi has eyes set on World Cup amid recent revival at Milan

By Isak Möller -

Divock Origi struggled with quite a few injuries upon his arrival at AC Milan and only in the last few weeks has he been able to work without discomfort. His goal is now to make a real difference, with an eye on the World Cup.

The Belgian striker bagged his first goal for Milan in the game against Monza with a lovely strike into the top right corner. It’s his reward for a very tough recovery process, struggling to play with freedom amid some discomfort.

As highlighted by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Origi obviously wants to be included in Belgium’s World Cup squad and now he has five games to really show that he deserves it. Starting with the game against Torino tonight, he wants to make difference.

Olivier Giroud will most likely get the nod against Salzburg but there’s no doubt that Origi, being the super sub he is, is a great resource off the bench. Tonight though, as said, he will get the chance from start.
