Tuttosport: Pioli attempts to isolate the squad amid ‘chaos’ at Casa Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

In the great chaos that has struck AC Milan in the 24 hours, head coach Stefano Pioli will try form a protective bubble around the team given they have a job to do tomorrow night in Prague.

As Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes this morning, amid the search of Casa Milan and the investigations launched against Giorgio Furlani and Ivan Gazidis, it has almost been forgotten that Milan have a very important game tomorrow.

The Rossoneri travel to Prague for the second leg of their last 16 Europa League tie against Slavia Praha, having won the first leg 4-2. The game will take place at the Fortuna Arena in the Czech capital, at 18:45 CET.

It is a match that is of crucial importance for the Diavolo who are putting all their hopes of concluding the season with a trophy into the European competition. Yet the climate around the club makes one think of anything but a match of this importance.

Pioli is ‘trying to isolate the team’ as per the paper, while he has already made his mind up regarding the team as he intends to field a strong line-up to try and secure qualification with minimal fuss.

Matteo Gabbia and Fikayo Tomori should be the centre-backs while Davide Calabria will certainly play on the right, given the absence of Alessandro Florenzi due to disqualification.

In the middle of the field it should be Tijjani Reijnders with Yacine Adli, while nothing changes in attack from the first leg. A victory would also send a strong signal of unity in the face of what is happening off the pitch.
