Stefano Pioli is expected to sit down with the AC Milan management between today and tomorrow (Monday) to discuss the termination of his contract, a report claims. Once that has been settled, the Rossoneri will pick their new manager.
The managerial saga has been going on for a few weeks now and most fans are probably tired of it already. Fortunately, the saga is now nearing its conclusion as Milan have just one game left of the season.
According to today’s edition of Tuttosport, as cited by MilanNews, Pioli will have a meeting with Milan between today and tomorrow to discuss the future. As his contract will be terminated in advance, with one year still left, they will have to reach an agreement on the severance pay.
Once Milan have sorted the termination, which is expected to be smooth, they will make a final decision on the new manager. The favourites right now are Paulo Fonseca and Mark van Bommel, both appreciated for their attacking playing style (4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1).
Roberto De Zerbi has been mentioned amid the Brighton departure, but Milan have decided not to move forward with their interest in the Italian. In any case, we just need to wait a few more days now.
The worst 2 choices of the whole list.
Grande
What about Eric Ten Hag, Allegri, Robson, Mourinho
Flick, Touchel… 🙁
Either Fonseca or Van Bommel are the choice of mediocrity. Many great coaches have been linked to Milan, and the choice will likely fall onto the two worst candidates. Fantastic!
The coaching pick will tell us a lot about where we’re heading.
Yes very attacking! Van Bommel is so good that he tries to beat Pioli for matches lost – 7 or 8 lost in his last 10 games – I bet Moncada forgot to put that statistic in his money all methods. Fonseca I don’t even want to comment – dudes defensive record is worse than Pioli but hey wait!!! HE ATTACKs!!
not great not terrible
Pathetic
Fonseca plus Johnathan David…now what?
If this what the cuva protested for, then they are worst
That two are the worst . Now nopetegui are missed chance . Pioli defensive statistic are worst but fonseca more worst
So long it won’t be Fonseca…
Van Bommel has to be given a chance.
Better Van Bommel than Fonsesca, both of them are mediocre and Ibra with Mocanda just took the piss on Milan’s supporters…
There are good coaches Conte, Conceicao, Amorim, Motta even De Zerbi yet they went after the cheapest and most mediocre.
Conte
