Tuttosport: Pioli summons two-goal Ibrahimovic as Milan face tense top-four finale

By Isak Möller -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with his 15 goals in the league, has been an important player for Milan this season and they need him now more than ever. With Champions League at stake, the Swede must be at his best.

As highlighted by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the 39-year-old is the champion capable of leading what is an ambitious project, though with little experience. And although he isn’t at his best currently, he’s still contributing a lot to the attack.

In the first half of the season, he was unstoppable with ten goals despite playing very little (only eight games). In the first three games, he had an average of two goals per game. However, since the start of 2021 he has ‘only’ bagged five goals in 12 games and Stefano Pioli needs him back in form.

As expected, therefore, Milan will return on Ibrahimovic and his desire to play in the Champions League once again. Just like his teammates, he will do everything to get there and will have a leading role in the race.
