Tuttosport: Rangnick’s main concern highlighted as Milan draw up Plan B involving Pioli

By Oliver Fisher -

The AC Milan leadership have drawn up a possible plan B regarding their attempts to convince Ralf Rangnick to join, a report claims.

According to Saturday’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanLive), there is one underlying issue regarding the agreement: Rangnick is not yet convinced to leave the safe port of Leipzig to dive into an adventure so intriguing but complicated and without the time necessary to plan everything. A fundamental element for a man like him.

That is why the parties have agreed to hold a face-to-face interview as soon as possible. Gordon Singer and Ragnick will discuss directly, with no other interlocutors present. The two have thus agreed to do so as soon as the emergency falls and it will be possible to take the first international flights.

Rangnick is the man that Milan have chosen to be both head coach and sporting director, which does not mean that he would lead the negotiations, but market guidelines would start from him. If things don’t go the right way, Milan could advance plan B: that is, offer him a role in the management and to keep Stefano Pioli as coach.

Such a scenario would allow to combine the needs of both the club and those of Rangnick himself.
