Lucas Paqueta’s poor relationship with Zlatan Ibrahimovic is among the reasons that the playmaker is likely to be sold this summer, a report claims.
The Brazil international is coming off the back of a torrid 2019-20 season during which he failed to score a single goal despite being deployed in a number of different positions, leading to speculation he is heading for the exit door.
According to Tuttosport (via CM.it), the former Flamengo star does not have a good relationship with Ibrahimovic. Milan were reborn after the arrival of the Swede, meaning it is certainly difficult to imagine Paqueta staying without a transformation in their relationship.
A particular incident is cited in which Paqueta apparently responded back to Ibrahimovic with anger and had to be calmed down by team-mates during the 1-0 league win over Torino in the second half of last season.
Of course, the main issue is his unconvincing performances over the course of the season and the fact that Hakan Calhanoglu plus now Brahim Diaz appear to be above him in the pecking order.
