Tuttosport: Stefano Pioli could resign as Milan boss after game against Juventus

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli could resign from his position after Wednesday’s game against Juventus, according to a shock report.

The Rossoneri are, quite frankly, in utter turmoil at the moment. Director Zvonomir Boban is set to be sacked after he spoke out regarding CEO Ivan Gazidis’ decision to go behind the backs of the management and agree a deal with Ralf Rangnick for next season.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanLive), for Pioli the tensions within the club represent a negative factor and something which is ultimately preventing him doing his job. The situation risks affecting a group that this season has already faced many difficulties and that did not need all this.

Juventus-Milan will be played tomorrow in Turin in the return leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final Cup and it will be a very difficult match for the Rossoneri, who have never won at the Allianz Stadium and have to deal with multiple absences.

The paper claims that it is not excluded that Pioli may resign after the match. The Emilian coach has always been supported by the Boban-Maldini-Massara trio and now that he finds himself with a destiny now marked he could decide to step aside. For now there is nothing certain, but they do not exclude this option.
