Tuttosport: Striker could make Milan debut vs. Lazio but winger still needs time

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli’s attacking options for the game against Lazio are becoming clearer, with a potential debut on the cards.

According to the latest from Tuttosport (via MilanNews), it will take a little time yet before we see Junior Messias on the pitch. The Brazilian attacking midfielder is still behind in terms of his athletic condition as he is virtually undergoing preseason training from scratch, which is why he is unlikely to be in Stefano Pioli’s squad for Sunday’s game.

On the other hand, Pietro Pellegri is improving his condition more and more and his aim is to to be called up by Pioli for Sunday night’s match against Lazio at San Siro. He could get minutes too, given the 20-year-old striker will not be available for the Champions League match against Liverpool on Wednesday as he has not been included in the squad list.
