Tuttosport: The game that Milan are hoping to have Maignan back for

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will be without Mike Maignan for a decisive run of games for the second season in a row as the goalkeeper suffered a calf issue on international duty.

Maignan started in goal for France during their win over Austria last week but he was substituted at half-time and though it was initially hoped to be a precaution it quickly became apparent that it was something more serious from the reports that emerged.

As Tuttosport (via MilanNews) report, the former Lille man flew back to Italy after undergoing his medical examinations the day after the game, and he continued his therapies at Milanello yesterday.

Of course it goes without saying that he is hoping to return to the field as soon as possible, but the paper claims that the goal for Stefano Pioli and the medical staff is to have him available for the home match on 22 October against Monza.
