Tuttosport: Torino eye Milan boss Pioli to take over as head coach for next season

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has entered the sights of Torino as they consider potential candidates for next season, a report claims.

There continues to be doubts surrounding the future of Pioli at Milan. The general consensus is that he has come in and done a good job since replacing Marco Giampaolo in October, but multiple reports suggest that Ralf Rangnick is set to take his role.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Torino are already monitoring some coaches for the next season. The Granata are thinking of a revolution on the bench, and they are considering the likes of Semplici, D’Aversa, Maran and Nicola as well as Pioli.

Pioli has of course already coached Lazio, Inter and Fiorentina as well as the Rossoneri, so he could provide il Toro with some much needed experience after a turbulent few years.

In other news, Milan are reportedly in talks with a move to sign Dries Mertens on a free transfer.
