Tuttosport: Torino renewal back in fashion for Belotti as Milan turn down plea

By Isak Möller -

Despite approaches from other clubs, Andrea Belotti has made it clear that he wants to wait for AC Milan. However, it doesn’t look like Il Gallo will get a move to the Rossoneri this time either.

Belotti’s contract with Torino will expire at the end of the season and for many months now, it has been made pretty clear that he won’t renew. That’s also why Milan have been linked with him, seeing as he’s a boyhood Rossoneri and they need a striker.

Milan, on the other hand, have decided to focus on other targets (Origi and Scamacca) and this has changed Belotti’s approach to Torino. According to Tuttosport (via TMW), a renewal now looks less complicated than just a few weeks ago.

Belotti could end up staying in Turin after all, therefore, but a move to Milan shouldn’t be ruled out just yet. But admittedly, it’s looking less likely for each day that passes.

  1. Pls maldini get us Belotti. Scamacca has belittled Milan by choosing Inter over us. Belotti will play with his heart on Rossoneri colors am sure

  2. Wow… so we choose Origi over Belotti because we save a little on his salary with the money we save on the foreign tax…. Belotti scores a ton of goals for the past 5+ years and loves Milan a d we pass up the opportunity to get him for free for Origi??…. wow. We truly hate italians just like I always thought.

  3. A player who won’t be on astronomic wages, available on a free, with a proven record, trained in Italy, experienced in Serie A, younger than the current options, wants to join the club…

I don’t get this one. Especially if Ibra gets a renewal I don’t understand at all. Scamacca might be a good player but I can’t see he’s great value, unless the wages he’s wanting are significantly less than Belotti or the alternatives – will just be an extra 6m each year plus his wages

  4. Sign Belotti and Origi both. Let them compete for starting XI.
The upcoming season is long. We still suffer most because of injuries. We will also compete at UCL. We need as many decent options for rotation as possible.
It is not a good time to waste opportunities, especially when they come for free.
