The coming week should be the one in which Rafael Leao puts pen to paper on a contract extension until 2028, according to a report.
As Tuttosport (via MilanNews) reports, everything has already been agreed for a few days but today marks the beginning of the week in which Rafael Leao’s renewal with Milan until 30 June 2028 will be made official.

The signing will occur on either Wednesday, Thursday or Friday and it will be a strong and positive symbol for the club regarding the strength of their project, given that there were a lot of obstacles to overcome to get the winger to stay.
Leao will be joined in Milan in the next few days by his entourage, his family and a few friends. His salary will go from €1.5m to €5m net per season plus bonuses. With the new agreement, the release clause will also be raised from €150m to €175m.
The turning point in these negotiations – which went on for several months – came when Lille agreed to pay €19m of the €20.5m fine owed to Sporting CP.
After signing, Leao will have to go back to thinking about the pitch immediately, with Milan finishing the season against Juventus and Hellas Verona in two games that decisive for qualifying for the next Champions League.
