AC Milan have been working on getting two more key renewals over the line but now it seems they have been put on pause for the time being, a report claims.
According to what La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) are reporting this morning, both Rafael Leao and Ismael Bennacer are destined to renew their current contract with Milan which are set to expire in 2024.
For both, it seemed that the extension would come soon after that of Theo Hernandez, who signed an extension until 2026 back in February. However, the intense season finale and the negotiations for the transfer of ownership to Investcorp slowed down the discussions.
What matters is that both players have already expressed a desire to stay at the club and therefore at the end of the season thoughts will turn to concluding the negotiations, perhaps with Investcorp also having their say on each case.
