TuttoSalernitana: Two Milan players on Salernitana’s radar ahead of January meeting

By Oliver Fisher -

Salernitana are interested in signing defender Matteo Gabbia from AC Milan and will soon open talks, according to a report.

TuttoSalernitana report how Salernitana will have to face Milan at the Arechi stadium once the World Cup break is over in what will be the first game of the new year, and the beginning of January will also be an opportunity for them to talk to the Rossoneri about the transfer market.

There are two players that are capturing the attention of the Granata: midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko and defender Matteo Gabbia. The Frenchman was offered by the Milan management but has a salary which is out of reach meaning he is not a priority.

However, the centre-back has been followed by some time by Salernitana and their sporting director Walter Sabatini, but while they are keen on landing him in January Gabbia is one of the top back-ups to the starters at Milan, who therefore have no intention of letting him leave.
