U-turn from German journalist as he reveals Milan and Rangnick are ‘still in contact’

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are still in contact with Ralf Rangnick regarding taking on a role at the club once the season is over, a journalist has claimed.

There are conflicting reports from different media outlets at present regarding the future of Milan’s head coaching position. Some believe Rangnick is set to occupy a role as both manager and sporting director, while others think Pioli could stay on as the German has not reached an agreement.

Bild and SportBild journalist Christian Falk has previously stated that Rangnick will not be joining Milan during the upcoming summer as the talks between the two parties ‘were not successful’.

He then spoke in more detail about the situation and why the former Schalke and Hoffenheim boss is not set for a new adventure in Italy as things stand.

However, Falk has now provided a twist in the saga on Twitter, claiming that the deal is not completely dead in the water.

He reports that Milan and Rangnick are ‘still in contact’ regarding an agreement and that a solution could be found, however the current Red Bull Head of Football Development has ‘very big demands’.
