Verona manager snubs Juve as he predicts Milan, Inter and Roma to fight for Scudetto

By Isak Möller -

Milan have certainly started the season well, guaranteed to remain at the top of the table for at least one more round following Sassuolo’s defeat last night. Should they beat Verona tomorrow, it will be even more.

Stefano Pioli had his usual press conference earlier this afternoon, which you can read here, and Ivan Juric (Verona manager) also spoke to the media. When asked about the Scudetto, he predicted that three teams will fight for it.

“My favourites for the Scudetto? I’d say Milan, Rome and Inter. The Rossoneri have talent and they are courageous. I also like Fonseca’s Roma. Inter? They have the strongest squad, they do a lot of things right,” he told Radio Deejay (via Calciomercato.com).

Juventus left out, in other words, after what has been a questionable start from the Bianconeri under Andrea Pirlo. The same could be said about Inter, really, but it will be interesting to see if Juric is right come March/April.

The game between Milan and Verona will kick off at 20:45 tomorrow, with the home side hoping to bounce back from the 3-0 loss against Lille mid-week. In fact, it’s important for them to do so.
