Vitiello: Ibrahimovic ‘one step away’ from Milan return – his ‘360 degree’ role

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is very close to returning to AC Milan and he will take up an all-encompassing role within the club, according to one journalist.

According to what is being reported by Antonio Vitiello in his latest column for MilanNews, Ibrahimovic is not ‘one step away’ from returning to the Rossoneri for his third spell, but he will not only be attached to Milan as a club.

The signing will be announced soon, but Ibrahimovic’s role has been defined: he will act as an advisor for Milan but also for Gerry Cardinale and RedBird Capital. He ‘will cover 360 degrees’, and the Swede will also be a figure involved in show business as well as a reference point for players and the management.

Zlatan has always made it clear that in order to accept a role he must feel like he can make a difference, and the span of influence he will have in his new position seems to tick that box.
